Dear Friends, Fans and Collectors

We have been informed several times about infringements of the property rights of Jacek Yerka, namely :

• unlicensed prints on paper, canvas as well as other items that are sold taking advantage of Jacek Yerka’s work and creativity;
• forged paintings;
• paintings or works that are not by Jacek Yerka but are attributed to him;

 

The Internet is full of illegitimate content and our attempts to fight against it by legal means are, simply put, hopeless.  Even on big platforms like Etsy it is impossible for us to act against companies that are from the Far East or Africa or even the U.S. Companies from Turkey are especially prevalent in this regard.

So we appeal to all fans of Jacek Yerka to check with us if an item you love and would like to purchase is legitimate, genuine and approved by the Artist.

What you should know :

1. All giclees (signed and numbered limited edition prints) have, for over 15 years, been printed in one place ( Qprint studio in Warsaw ). These should be accompanied by a certificate also signed by Yerka with a holographic stamp matching the same stamp on the back of the work. All are signed by the Artist.

2. Prints approved by Yerka were NEVER made on canvas, only on paper.

3. The only vendor on Etsy that sells genuine Yerka prints is Mela Yerka (the daughter of the Artist) and she is based in London, UK.

4. There are some objects that have never been created by Yerka but are offered as his. In fact, they are most probably digital compilations of some of Yerka’s paintings and other surreal painters and never existed as physical works. Nevertheless, some companies offer prints, wallpapers etc. made upon alleged Yerka works, an occurrence we find deeply unfair and incredibly abusive.

5. The only places where you can buy genuine signed giclees (prints) is at  Agra-Art online shop and at some online auctions. They are not offered on popular selling platforms like Amazon, Catawiki etc.
